After much deliberation and many tears, we regret to inform you that our beloved, first-born book-child Looneyspoons, has made its way to the great cookbook store in the sky. After spending 85 weeks on the national bestseller list and selling almost 1,000,000 copies (not a typo—we can’t believe it, either!), we hope Looneyspoons is best remembered as the  quirkiest, corniest and tastiest low-fat cookbook of its time. (That’s what our book’s die-hard fans seem to think, anyway. We’ve received a zillion emails about Jurassic Pork and Yabba Dabba Stew!). So, why stop selling a bestseller? Well, so much has changed in the world of food and nutrition since 1996 (when the book was published), we now feel that some of our healthy-eating advice in Looneyspoons is outdated. It was a tough decision to make but we feel it’s the right one. Besides, if you really, really want a copy, just borrow Looneyspoons from a friend and don’t give it back.
